When Thuggin’ Around Wallis Annenberg Hall
The iPhone is a dinosaur.
It goes extinct when I'm about to pop out the MacBook, finalize my resume and send it out to a few places. Even with Rohan Marley watching my every #socialmedia move, I am not in the #InsecureOnHBO writer's room or just inspiring #writers.
I am at USC's Wallis Annenberg Hall. Right fucking now. Never did apply to get into school here here despite knowing the previous dean, Dr. Ernest Wilson III, who taught African Politics at the University of Maryland in 2002-03 when I was there on domestic exchange. This is a dude who would be great to sit down with in D.C., with BHO in tow, and talk about what 'colorism' really means to Russians and other Slavic people's attitudes towards African-Americans.
Nice to say hi to Willow Bay earlier here. And give her a slight preview of one idea (see above). I'm thinking reality TV is the genre to move on since I, in fact, do have a son with a semi-successful reality TV story producer. She just happens to be working on a show that I have zero interest in watching. It's exploitative and uninspiring. But, then again, I am not going to knock the network or the show.
I'll just not talk about 'em.
*How do they say 'silence' in Arabic?*
It's like they are dead to me. I have a court date on Nov. 13 to dead the BS between my son's mother and myself. I realize I have a temper and domestic violence issues stemming from the fact that I am an entrepreneur. Which is the other side of being an independent contractor, IC, whether at the CIA or CAA or any Agency.
All i know is this: The funny thing about Africa is it doesn't have politics. It teaches YOU.
I also know the homegirl Tobi is going to Nigeria on Dec. 5 and we're about to sit down and talk at Harun Coffee in Leimert Park. On camera.
And I only know what I know.
When on the ground in #Daressalaam reading Khaled Hosseini's "A Thousand Splendid Suns."
Then me and the foreign minister's daughter stepped out and hit the clubs.
I write all this because ultimately, it's about #multicultural #democracy and taking care of your family. Mine just happens to be a lil' different than most.
Like Rohan Marley says: "We make the press, the Press don't make U.S."
