tumblr therians who hate tiktok !!!!!

i dislike tiktok . it's weird and i think any platform with short form content is bound to piss people off

however, i personally would like to say a few things !!!!! no that u have to hear me out lol

ALSO PSA THIS IS MOSTLY ABOUT YOUNGER THERIANS (like under 16)

anyway plsss keep in mind :

therians on tiktok are 80% children (from like 8-14) (have you ever seen a child talk about something important to them? they scramble their words and make it very self centric!! they do not quite understand social media, information gathering, communities and safe spaces like us older people do) (my foster sister is 11 year old is a therian and she's still figuring out how to work with it) (also their whole lives have been spent living as human, unlike some of us older creatures who have had therianthropy under our belt for years)

i've also deleted tiktok! but instead, i literally watch those silly therian tiktok compilation videos on youtube. they're usually hand picked and recent! avoid the drama and watch fun little videos online !!!

also please remember some therians can be more connected to their humanity than you could be ! sure, they shouldn't claim every therian "is human", but if they're a child, children seem to apply "if this is my experience, then it's everyone's experience duhhh". if they're older with a bunch of experience in the community then go ahead n sick'em i condone that LOL

Golden power is both destruction and creation. Not just creation.

The main example I have- Telekinesis, the mask of Deception and the moving of mountains:

Telekinesis is the ability to move objects or manipulate matter using mental power, without any physical contact. We see this power utilised by the Mask of Deception throughout the oni trilogy. We know it hails from the oni warlord of deception (orange mask). We see Garmadon teaching Lloyd how to harness the power to move mountains when on the run from the overlord in season 3. With this Lloyd moves rock formations with his mind presenting the power of telekinesis.

Also interesting to note that Garm says something along the lines of “you’ve only scratched the surface of your potential.” Perhaps being why we never see the four arms depicted with the mask of vengeance with Lloyd until crystallised. The mask of hatred with the power of indestructibility/invincibility is hard to ever recall seeing but perhaps it is depicted in different ways I can’t recall? The only time I can think of the mask of hatred’s power being present through Lloyd is when he fights Garmadon at the end of season 8. His power seems to protect his body from damage. However this is not when he has golden power.

We are yet to see any form of shape shifting from Lloyd at all. Which would be so sick, I hope DR looks into this more, as it seemed to be the only oni power Lloyd seemed interest in. (Might make another post about this). If you count automatic outfit changes/ summoning motorcycles out of thin air as shapeshifting then golden power does show it lmao but that is REACHINGG

As for creation- we know that golden power isn’t creation entirely. Given that it was the ‘balance’, it would have to be both creation and destruction.

I can see how golden power would be confused with creation, both are gold, with creation having a more white overall colour scheme. Similar to how destruction has hints of black but is overall purple.

We see Lloyd start off with the four main elements in his training before unlocking golden power. Demonstrating golden powers connection to creation as it was heavily present before Lloyd unlocked the power of the ultimate spinjitzu master.

Perhaps the fact that Lloyd was trained by Wu and the ninja at the start of the series is why he needed Garmadon to train him when being hunted by the overlord. He favoured one side of the golden power. He was unbalanced. And perhaps still is in DR despite not having golden power anymore.

Awareness doesn't judge

On your journey back to yourself, whether through manifesting or shifting, you will come across a lot of voices. Whether your "own" or outside of you, you will have to face opinions and points of views that differ from what you know.

You will hear a lot of things. Things that will make you feel uncomfortable, things that will feel like a stab to the heart. Words that seem as if they were formed especially to break you. You will notice a lot of "experts" sharing their words with the conviction of a pope standing on his high pedestal, as if they have access to knowledge that is simply out of your reach. They will preach to you from their high horses, accusing you of all manners of awful things because you chose to do things differently. Those people claim to have gone through what you have yet to experience, so naturally they are the authority on everything spiritual. You will internalise those words, adopting them as your own views when you still don't know any better. You will hear their voices change into yours, going through your mind in an endless loop, getting harsher and more cruel as time goes by.

Awareness doesn't judge.

That voice in your head telling you what you're doing is wrong is not your awareness. That cacophony screaming at you that manifesting an SP is wrong or that shifting to a reality in which you are younger/older or of a different race/ethnicity is not your awareness. That chorus of voices telling you it's not real or you'll never get there or that you're wasting your time is not your awareness.

Your awareness doesn't have a voice. It doesn't speak, it doesn't think, it doesn't judge.

It simply observes.

It is your awareness that shifts realities, not your inner thoughts and feelings. It is your consciousness that travels the multiverse, not your vessel or your age. It is limitless, ageless, formless, tethered to nothing and no one.

Your current reality self, this body you inhibt at the moment, those thoughts and lessons and mannerisms you have adopted, they are simply a stop along the way. They are not your beginning, they are not your true form. They are not the standard, the motherboard, the original. They are simply a version of you, in an endless queue of other versions, something you chose to be aware of in this Now moment.

Set yourself free. Remove the shackles you have put on yourself and stop beating yourself up. You are not a horrible person for choosing to be happy. You are not a terrible person for seeking out different experiences in different lives in different bodies with different people. You are not the antichrist for choosing a different reality, a better life, a new chance to experience what you didn't have the chance to live here.

You are human, for now. Enjoy it. It won't last forever. Not the way it is now, not this version.

Be you, whatever that looks like, whatever it feels like.

one of the main issues i have with undertale reverse harem fics is how the author almost always is a fuckin pick me. theyre always putting down girly—girls, the color pink, and trying so hard to be different. like, gods, we get it, ‘you’re not like other girls’, okay? no need to be a bitch about it. the reader can be girly and sweet without being a pushover. can’t stand the mean tomboy types

i love leon, but I wish people wouldn’t care so much about shipping wars and realise how great ada and claire are by themselves. #anotherrant

for ada, i feel like a lot of people demonise her for simply doing her job. people focus on re2 specifically, because she lied about being fbi and threatened to shoot leon for the sample. it’s obvious she didn’t want to go to such extremes, but she had to. she wasn’t going to put her job on the line for a man she met that night and would most likely face severe reproductions if she didnt. we don’t know much about adas job, but it’s best to assume it’s shady and dangerous. it wasn’t like she left leon to fend for himself, she survived the fall and still made sure he got the rocket launcher to defeat the tyrant when she could’ve just left for her own safety. I don’t think most people have seen this resident evil nemesis ada epilogue (link sends you straight to pinterest!) either. it paints ada in a vulnerable light we’ve never seen her in, almost like ada is a role she has to play to get the hard objectives of her job done. throughout of the rest of the games/cgi films, ada has been on her own mission and had her own objectives but still helps leon in his and finds the time to do so. if she didn’t care, she wouldn’t of helped him. she doesn’t fit the ‘kind heroine’ stereotype, so people are quick to judge her.

for claire, i don’t think people see her as a character outside of leon. they simply just see her as someone for him romantically, instead as her own person. she’s had her own missions and has many achievements, yet she isn’t recognised for any of them. she is more than just a potential love interest. shes apart of a human rights agency, providing aid to people who are caught between bioterrorism attacks, she likes motorcycles and is literally an expert of lock picking (like jill but not quite the master hehe)!! she’s loves her brother, and also protected sherry with her life in re2!! also the redfield bloodline jokes are so so so gross…

im in no way slating shipping, its fun and i like to take part in it too. i just think sometimes (especially in the resident evil fandom) it goes too far and i think people are missing out on two amazing characters!! i love them both so much!! and i want everyone else to see how great they are!! at the end of the day, everyone’s entitled to their own opinion and i can’t force anything. i just think it’s important to talk about because i don’t think most of it is taken into consideration.

another thing that bothers me is the propaganda i will Never fall for which is ticcimask being a darkship. why does everyone refuse to let toby get older? why dont they also acknowledge the fact his story is told as narrative in the past tense??? he is Not 17-19 anymore??? its mostly kids on tiktok i see proclaiming its weird because they are "like father and son," when toby and canon tim wright have never interacted. the way fans take this headcanon and scream about it from the rooftops like its gospel. you cannot be a ticcimask shipper the way people are so weird about insisting this is canon. the way kastoway depicted masky is far from canon anyway, and while majority of the fandom can separate fanon masky and canon masky, why can't they Allow toby to develop??? why must he be frozen at 17??? its really weird

trying not to be profiction made my mental health worse. antishippers praise so greatly for people to "recover" from being proshippers when 2 years ago, my OCD episodes got so bad i fell into a deep depression. i had already been dealing greatly with my own personal events that drove me to hallucinations and countless of relapses, but having the continuous argument that the things that interested me would one day become my reality destroyed me. i lived in fear thinking i would grow up and become a criminal. i thought that by enjoying dark topics, i was publicly advocating for them, that i was advocating for my own trauma. it wrecked my mental health so bad, so i hid. i already deal with immense anxieties, and this added so much unnecessary stress. ever since ive opened up about my profiction stances, i have felt the most elated i have been in a while. being able to confidently say that i KNOW how to distinguish fiction from reality has helped me tremendously. so yeah, proshipping did save my life

there's something to be said about the internalized prejudice against unwuns that is absolutely RAMPANT in the society. even our lovely Jupiter has fallen victim; seen when he treats Alphie(?) as dead along with the rest of the society. (this is probably a metaphor for internalized racism as well but hmhmhm). dearborn actually DOES get it at the beginning of Wundersmith, when she drills into them that they are nothing special now, and that they aren't to act important. it's pretty clear that the citizens are VERY aware of this and there is growing resentment against the society. this could likely come to a head French Revolution style, uprising-esque. and morrigan has arrived at just the right time for the society to use her as a shield, a spokesperson even. she is certainly an arcane scholar, BUT, she could easily become a sort of important figure to either carry the society back to its high horse, or shift the blame to. we have already seen this in Hollowpox, and she is BARELY out of childhood. quite interested to see our old mog's upcoming role!!
