Have we considered that one of the reasons Mack likes Will so much is that he's literally never in his life had someone include him in planning shit (book club, birthday sodas at Toff's house, matching costumes, dinner scrapbook), being silly without caring about appearances ('eating' the smelling salts, mildly cringe tiktoks, jersey bets, practice skate antics), considering him as a central piece to their life long-term (the sharks are actually our team and we'll play together for years, so jot that down, sheng), putting up with his shit without complaint (windshield. general bratlin behaviors), while simultaneously matching his freak when it comes to hockey? Strikes the exact balance of lifting Mack up without stroking his ego, and seeing him as 'just some guy' without ever putting him down.

Is it really any wonder that he is Like That about Will?
