Behold The Answer Box!

Okay, so my husband is a nut for old things. (No cracks from the peanut gallery, please.) Before we met he was really into collecting old bikes, like from pre-WWII era, and then he was into old computers. Now he's all about old typewriters (probably has about 100+), but generally speaking, anything from the 50s or earlier catches his interest.

This is The Answer Box. Popular in the 50s, diners used to place them on their tables to give customers something to entertain themselves with as they waited for their food. There are napkin dispensers on either side, and you put a penny in the little slot at the top, ask a yes or no question, pull the little lever, and it gives you an answer (and lucky numbers) in the little box.

It's like a Magic 8 Ball, but you have to pay to get your answer.

We have it sitting on our table and have been having a blast with it as we eat. Asking it questions to poke at each other, and just laughing like lunatics at some of the responses.

So let's have some fun! Send me a yes or no question for The Answer Box, and I'll ask and give you the first response. (It's all in good fun so please don't ask a question if you'll be absolutely gutted if you don't get the answer you want.)

remember that post about adam being shocked and appalled™️ at modern people not knowing basic life skills like cooking baking and sewing?

to add to that, adam remembers everything, and I mean everything he learned during his life.

if you asked him to show you how to dye or weave fabric or how fermentation or curation works, he would be able to explain or show you like he’d never stopped. it could be years since he had actually done it last but his skills never rust.

Most Likely since He and Eve had to figure that stuff out and more so his earlier children would have ventured out and figured out those methods their own and taught their parents.

I can imagin him and Eve being like this whenever ome of their kids or grandchildren figured out something new and shared that knowledge to the village.

Adam & Eve and the very first humanity tree of 900 years would be exactly where the saying

"Jack of all Trades but Master of None."

Could have came from. As im sure they all learned each other's hobbies/trades to help out with the labor so not only one person is doing all the work.

This is probably where humans can if they wanted too, Learn any trade, hobby or talent if they are willing to put in the effort of it and to branch out.

I could see Adam still doing some of the stuff but more so towards hang out with his kids, and not really out of instrest of teaching anyone.

Not when theres so much information out there, he definitely would be the type to go.

Unless you just someone he really really likes and is using it as a way to have a bonding moment.

If you could change anything in White Collar (anything from small details to big plot things) what would u change?

Oops, my apologizes for answering this so late. I was away in the past few days.

That's an interesting question. I don't know if I really want to change anything. If I have had any power over the show, I would probably not have the tension between Neal and Peter continue after the end of S3. Their bickering and kept secrets felt a little forced in S4 after the natural arc taken in S3. I would have kept S5 because the tension comes from a different mechanic and felt more believable. One thing that I wish the show had explored was to have Neal complete his sentence and have at least one season off anklet, with Neal a free man, potentially only collaborating with the FBI out of the generosity of his heart. This would have changed the dynamic and the trust problematic in an interesting way that I wanted to see explored.

Also I would have found a different ending because that I don't like that stupid trope...

I took my popped my prog in my mouth and let it just ooze into it and bleh it taste bitter and salty even under my tongue it got everywhere and I swallowed it all after it let it sit there for a good time to make sure I absorbed it

respectfully, idk how effective that is, letting it absorb through your mouth lining might do something, but i havent hesrd other folks do that

i do, however, recommend boofing your prog, which is, taking it rectally. same idea as letting it absorb into your mouth, you poke the pill and then insert it rectally :3
