If we domesticated saiga do you think they would figure out how to use doorhandles with their noses?

The saiga antelope evolved alongside the Asian Giant Door, but since they went extinct after the land bridge closed the only remaining wild Door populations are found in South America now.

I don't actually think the saiga proboscis is prehensile? I thought it was a big pile of tubes for temperature and dust control, I'm not sure.

The pronghorn has been observed to have at least 13 distinct gaits, including one reaching nearly 7.3 m per stride.

Springbok herd.

We don't see springbok super often despite them being the national animal of South Africa, they're concentrated in the Southwest of the country and I live in the Northeast. Like a lot of things their exaggerated importance is down to the Dutch making landfall in the Cape. See also, hundreds of animals named "Cape X" which on further inspection can range as far north as Central Africa.

They're very cute though. Strong contender for best makeup on a mammal, although they lose to the gemsbok/oryx.

Impala herd in Kruger National Park. It's easy to overlook impala because they're so many of them but they're very interesting animals in their own right.
