( elizabeth olsen, phoebe tonkin, shelley hennig, crystal reed, leighton meester, kaya scodelario, utp | cis woman / non-binary | utp ) — was that BELLATRIX LESTRANGE passing through diagon alley? yes, i think so… people around them say they remind them of between four and six aesthetics, which i suppose seems to fit that SLYTHERIN alumni. they’re actually pretty TRAIT, TRAIT, and TRAIT for TWENTY-EIGHT to THIRTY-THREE year old, but i wonder if it serves them well when working as a OCCUPATION at/in/for the PLACE/TEAM. have you heard that rumor has it that PUREBLOOD is MARKED with the DEATH EATERS? i wouldn’t have guessed… but this is a conversation we should be having somewhere else.
you’re the eldest sister of the noble house of black with all the responsibilities and the world on your shoulders your parents and sisters adore and look up to you. they know that one day you’re going to make them so proud. where your sisters fall short you take up the mantle with grace because it’s in your blood and name to do so, and if you falter? well, who would ever know?
bellatrix is the eldest sister of the noble house of black with a personality to match. she had been the golden girl in the family and at school, whatever she had put her mind to she conquered and made it look easy to do. there’s a certain kind of expectation when it comes to being the eldest, and while she loved the house that she had grown up in, she couldn’t wait to be free and live a life of her own.
it’s late night sleepovers with her sisters in her room, her gentle fingers running through her sister’s hair, making up stories that have the girls ever so intrigued—bellatrix may have been a hard woman to get to know or please but there was one thing that she knew was true: she loved her sisters and her family and would do anything for them.
even if it meant a betrothal. it may be the curse with being the oldest, someone has to make the path for you to walk down, someone has to be the one to do the things that most wouldn’t ever want to, but like with most things, she took it in stride.
bellatrix and rodolphus had met in hogwarts, their families had always been close, and while their parents had been pining for them to get married they had done their best to try and push it as much as they could. they both were at different places in their lives, both wanting to be their own people and create their own legacy. there might have been a friendship, this one close bond of being the eldest siblings, the ones that feel the weight of the world on their shoulders, it’s what made them connect. it wouldn’t be a horrible marriage, just a marriage that neither of them had wanted.
but bellatrix was moving up in her job and rod was on his way to becoming head of the department of law enforcement and they knew that they couldn’t wait it out anymore. their marriage had been a big ceremony, anyone who was anyone had attended, rodolophus had bought the house that he had intended for other reasons but they made it their home. together as a team.
with regulus black gone missing there’s tensions within both parties of their families and where their loyalties lie and the rest? well, that’s up to bellatrix.
NARCISSA BLACK: as the youngest black sibling it’s easy to admire your older sisters, it was practically in her blood to idolize both of them as a child because they were everything that she had wanted to be growing up. though narcissa wouldn’t lie and say that it was easy to also be envious while understanding the sacrifices that bellatrix had made for her family. despite everything–-narcissa loves her sister and would do just about anything for her if she asked.
RODOLPHUS LESTRANGE: after his siblings, bellatrix had been the person that he had come out to knowing that one day, at some point, they would eventually be married. rodolphus may be a lot of things but he has a level of respect for bellatrix and while their situation isn’t exactly ideal he would do whatever it takes to keep her safe because while they were a betrothed marriage they’re family now and it’s not something that rodolphus takes lightly. he considers bellatrix his biggest ally in this war.
ANDROMEDA BLACK: andromeda could mirror bella on the outside to any unfamiliar eye, but their personalities are drastically different. where bellatrix took charge, andromeda cowered in her shadow. bellatrix took on everything the eldest sibling does, and she did so with power. the matriarch that would take the place of any ordinary son a family so prestigious would normally make the winner of it all. andie continues to look up to her sister so much for her drive and confidence, something she still lacks even in adulthood.
