The Pygmy Python or Anthill Python (Antaresia perthensis) is a constrictor native to Queensland and Western Australia. It is the smallest species of python, usually measuring around 50 centimeters (19.5 inches) in length. These snakes will hunt for small vertebrates such as lizards and bats at night and often rest in termite mounds during the day.

Pythons are one of the largest snakes in the world, and require a warm climate to survive. They are found natively in Africa and Asia.
