The Reds are off to a tough start this season, losing 7 of their last 9 after starting the season 4-0, but their silver lining is so far they seem to be winning the Mat Latos trade. While Latos has gotten smashed in Miami (0-3, 10.24 ERA, just 9.2 IP in 3 starts), Anthony DeSclafani is off to an incredible start in Cincinnati. After a solid first outing, DeSclafani has put up back-to-back gems vs the Cubs and Brewers (getting both of the Reds wins during this 9 game stretch).
DeSclafani became the 60th pitcher since 1914 to put up two straight games with 7+ innings of 2-hit, shutout baseball. He also happens to be the second to do it this month, as Chris Archer of the Rays managed the feat in his last two starts and will attempt to be the first player ever to do it 3 straight times against the Red Sox today.
