To go with my previous post, picked up #everybodysscene book by @cgdaily which does an excellent job of capturing the spirit and the importance of the #anthraxclub in Connecticut. It gave us all a place to go and something to aim for...seeing my first show there (Raw Power, Dayglo Abortions and Lost Generation November 14th, 1986) getting that demo good enough that we got an opening spot on a show (The #Doughboys headlined) and eventually, our band name on the schedule and a regular rotation of gigs. Highlights including a very, very early @henryandheidi Rollins Band show so hot the walls were sweating, skipping senior prom night to see #governmentissue ...thanks Brian and #shaunsheridan for filling us with #Joltcola, giving us a safe, all ages place to go, lifelong friends, a creative outlet in suburbia, and in the process changing our lives.
