the other day i told a man that i hate the big bang theory show and he basically threatened my life as he gasped and was thrown by my comment... can men just let a woman live
CBS: Big Bang Theory renewed for 2 more seasons
me:
We just got our first negative review! We love it. Thanks, CraftyBakeOven--we’re UBER feminists!
Brooklyn nine nine getting canceled and then uncanceled, and the Big Bang theory being renewed and then canceled is the best thing to happen this year
You just know Young Sheldon is a right-wing show when you have comments like "she got delusional with feminism"...hell I'm absolutely positive Big Bang is a right-wing show as well...
Pretty sure most things on TV is tbh...
If you don't mind me asking, I've seen a lot of people say bbterra is abusive but after watching the show, I don't understand how. May you please explain it to me?
god okay so I’m just gonna briefly compare it to robstar; a healthy couple that was put through a similar situation to BB and Terra’s. Okay so as you know Robin was forced to join Slade to protect his friends. When he fought his friends, he purposely avoided Starfire as he didn’t want to hurt her. When Terra fought the Titans, she gave Beast Boy, the guy she apparently loves, no special treatment and was probably the most violent with him. She knocked him out cold within seconds while he tried to reason with her. And when she tried to eventually kill him, she taunted him before offering no hesitation in doing the deed. She was even smiling, while he is in a state of shock.
Even after Beast Boy sees what Terra has become, he still wants to give her a second chance. He knows she’s making a mistake and cares a lot about her.
Now, when Robin was fighting the Titans, Starfire also tried to reason with him, to which he had to ignore for her and their friends’ safety. Near the end of the fight, Robin and Starfire still haven’t laid a finger on each other. Then Starfire confesses that she can’t live in a world where she must fight him, and lowers the starbolt that she had aimed at him. Robin also lowers his weapon, and only attacks her and the others when their lives are once again threatened by Slade. Robin apologises while he does it.
When Terra was fighting the Titans, Beast Boy was reluctant to fight her, while Terra didn’t hesitate to deliver him a few punches. This just shows how one-sided their relationship really is.
Even before she was Slade’s apprentice, Beast Boy just helplessly follows Terra around while she just… treats him like a friend I guess.
In the second part of “Aftershock”, Terra even states that she has no regrets in “killing” the Titans, and in the episode before she tells Robin that she wanted to work with Slade and wanted to take down the Titans, including BB, despite having no reason to.
This may have probably been the worst explanation ever but overall I think this ship is unhealthy and one-sided.
Why is it mean to say you watch the big bang theory?
Because the show is blatantly racist, misogynist, homophobic, ableist and transphobic.
Overall, this article sums up a bit what I think.
In lights of BBT discussion: Your Princess Is in Another Castle: Misogyny, Entitlement, and Nerds.
So yeah, in no way I want to be a person someone looks and say ‘you look like someone who loves BBT’. I learned too much and grew a lot to still be a person that is comfortable with a show like BBT. To me, I’d find offensive and mean a comment like that.
