Anti was a concept once upon a time. He was created in the mid-nineties, intended by some would-be hackers as a virus to corrupt a few businesses. Whatever that purpose was, Anti couldn’t tell you, because it’s not important at all.
Right when he was about to be uploaded, there was a power surge that cause a huge power outage. The computer he was being uploaded to burst into flames. Somehow, this gave Anti sentience.
For a long while, Anti remained on his computer, unable to do anything or interact with anyone. Slowly though, he was able to reach out and explore the internet as it grew. A lot of it was him sifting through dead files, being moved to another hard drive, and finally, being connected to the internet again, but he reached out and started educating himself.
For the next several years, Anti learned. He could travel through entire websites at lightning speed, so he taught himself everything he could get his hands on. He was particularly fond of science fiction, the occult -- particularly, artificial intelligence coming to life.
It didn’t take long for Anti to learn about the Deep Web. Once he found that, he made it his new home. There, he was able to find sites dedicated to cults, sites with real magic spells on them. And Anti taught himself.
When youtube celebrities were gaining popularity, Anti took a special interest in them. He wanted to be among the living instead of just lines of code, but he was still unsure of how to do it. He needed a host. He went through so many of them before a Jacksepticeye caught his attention.
Anti wasn’t sure why he was attracted to Jack. The youtuber was so infuriatingly good, and Anti saw no reason to keep coming back. But time and time again, he kept coming back to Jack’s computer, purely to watch him.
In 2016, Anti finally realized that maybe he could use Jack. The youtuber was so pure, so easily corruptable, that all Anti had to do was figure out a way to jump out of the computer and into Jack’s head.
He researched more occult theories, demon possession, and then realized that he could jump from electronics to electronics. He was becoming more and more tied to Jack, he realized, but it no longer bothered him.
For half a year, Anti kept trying. He figured that since Jack was so closely tied to the internet and always around electronics, Anti could always be around him. In the whole month of October, he really tried.
Finally, it was in his debut video that Anti finally succeeded. With the cameras rolling, lights on, and all sorts of electricity everywhere, Anti finally made the leap from being mere coding, to being a DEMON.
Anti wasn’t able to maintain the connection for long, but it was long enough. He had established contact, and it was more than enough for Anti to keep his own form, to keep up Jack’s likeness. He and Jack aren’t connected at all; Anti is is own person, and their lives are not dependent on each other. But Jackie gets a sick thrill out of keeping Jack close, merely to feed off his energy and to keep up the likeness.
Really, Anti just likes looking like this -- even he has to admit that Jack is attractive.
He’s an AI, and not everything was going to be perfect. Anti was intended to be a virus, but was born a glitch. His entire existence is flawed, so his human form is going to be flawed as well. Light green, glitchy skin, voice filled with static, and a general aura that induces fear and panic in living humans.
Because of his unfortunate creation, it’s also given him a bloodlust. Over the years, he’s seen the worst of what humanity has to offer, and rather than be horrified by it, Anti took glee. He lives for seeing people hurt each other, he lives for the violence and the pain and the torture. He loves seeing that spark of hope and flicker of light die in his victims’ eyes. Nothing brings him any greater pleasure.
