According to Roderick Faustian, The First Secretary of the Antigua and Barbuda Embassy, at least 95% of the properties in Barbuda are totally destroyed or damaged. He then goes on to state that, There is no running water nor telephone service, as the communications tower was literally snapped in half. The island of 1,800 to 2,000 people is barely habitable and all public institutions have been damaged. Prime Minister Gaston Browne has ordered an emergency evacuation of every person from Barbuda. This is personal to me, as this is my grandfather's homeland and I have family there as well as in Antigua. From what I know, my family is ok. However, many are still in need. The members of the Antiguan and Barbudan clergy and diplomatic corps held an emergency meeting to come up with a solution. I have posted the official places to donate: monetary and physical donations are being accepted at this time.
