There is a special hell for the creators of dark antipatterns. There are various ways to plummet into this hell (soot-blackened chimneys, muddy riverbanks) but they all have something in common: every time you grab at anything to slow your fall, it's considered "opting in".

When you arrive, the demons tell you "thanks for choosing us!"

As you fall into the lake of fire they ask for a review. When you scream, they tell you that the review didn't meet their standards and won't be heard. Then they ask for a review again. There's no way to stop them needily asking for feedback but there's also absolutely no way to be heard.

You are continually reminded that all this was your fault somehow, that you chose this, although you don't remember how.
