Idk man, call me crazy or whatever but for some weird reason, I kinda feel like calling Ghassan Kanafani "one of the most prominent and leading voices in the Palestinian fight for liberation" doesn't really paint the "Palestinian fight for liberation" in the most flattering light
so often over the past 2 years i have begged goyische friends to understand how their own words are stoking the fires of antisemitism. i have educated them again and again. i have begged them to speak out. we have all begged, and we continue to be slaughtered, and our friends continue to sit silently by. and when it's my turn they will say it's so sad, she was my friend, i wish there was more we could have done, we could never have seen this coming, and then they will keep doing nothing
A thing that I've talked around before, and seen other jumblr types talk around but maybe not fully explain:
Am Yisrael, the people Israel
Klal Yisrael, the tribe/family Israel
Neither of these terms has anything to do with Medinat Yisrael, the modern state of Israel.
We are Am/Klal Yisrael because the 12 tribes are descended from Yaakov/Jacob, who was renamed Israel after the nocturnal wrestling match with an angel.
So when someone targets Temple Israel because of the actions of Medinat Israel, that's roughly the same as trying to kill your cousin Jeffrey because Jeffrey Dahmer did horrific things. The math doesn't math.
According to door cam footage, the suspect shouted antisemitic slurs such as 'F*** the Jews' as he fired at the home from his car.
It is fucking devastating that every time I post about antisemitism, non-Jews frequently assume that I'm Jewish, because why would anyone talk about antisemitism unless they're a Jew trying to deflect criticism from zio-nazi Israel, while Jews also assume that I'm Jewish, because practically every non-Jew has abandoned, betrayed, or attacked them in their hour of need.
There are now 15 confirmed deaths from the antisemitic attack on Bondi Beach, including a Holocaust survivor and a 10 year old girl. I don't even know what to say.
Antisemitic violence has been on the rise in Australia, which numerous Jewish organizations and leaders have been very vocal about, but it went completely ignored by authorities. If antisemitism was taken at all seriously, if there was any effort to protect Jews at all, these people would still be alive. Their families would still be intact. A little girl would've had the chance to grow up.
Four ambulances belonging to a Jewish organisation were set afire in what police are treating as an antisemitic hate crime.
Four Ambulances belonging to a London Jewish organisation have been torched in an arson attack.
