6. Yoanna
The shapes Yoanna is creating are fantastic, and her face, while a bit weak, still exudes an air of regalness. I thought the cape might be one of the more difficult outfits to use, but she’s pulling it off brilliantly. I’m not too happy about the legs. One’s disappeared and the other just feels a bit too flat when we get to her heel. Perhaps if she’d straightened it out like on pointe, it would have worked. I had high hopes for Yoanna from the very beginning.
1. April
This is stellar. April is working every little thing to the fullest and the end product is sublime. I love how she’s twisted her body and the positioning of her legs like she’s lounging luxuriously. Her face is seductive and sexy, and she really made the Asian theme for her shine through spectacularly. April transformed into a gorgeous temptress, and established herself as a frontrunner from the get-go.
2. Mercedes
Mercedes looks like a modern interpretation of an Ancient Egyptian queen , and I, for one, am living for that. Her face is just piercing the camera lens unabashedly and her body and the way she’s showing off the outfit draped over her arm is superb. Unfortunately for Mercedes, she has lost her entire right arm, and it’s not a case where I feel like I can ignore it, since missing limbs tend to be distracting to me. Still a magnificent picture.
3. Camille
Though I wouldn’t personally award this with top photo, Camille definitely deserved praise from the panel as she had one of the strongest pictures of the bunch. The pose is basic, but she’s committed to it to such a degree that the attitude completely makes up for the simplicity. Her expression radiates pride and excellence. Camille showed so much promise, it’s a shame she never performed as well as she did here.
4. Shandi
My initial reaction was similar to Shandi’s- she has a butt! But seriously, I did not expect for her to be able to create such beautiful curves. Her face is so enchanting, but the eyes are unfocused, though I do like the vibe that she’s not even aware of the male model reaching for her apple. Shandi made me proud all things considered!
5. Jenascia
The bottom two placement was ridiculous, even if she had been late (which I am convinced was just the producers setting this up for dramatics). Jenascia was given one of the more intricate outfits and she did not let it overwhelm her. Her face is simply stunning and alluring, and it stands out from all that sea of red, especially with all that neck she is serving. While the legs are a bit too static for me, the relaxed pose does really work for her here.
7. Sara
I really like Sara’s choice of pose. Her body looks damn fine, and the styling they gave her is giving me Joan of Arc meets Balmain. Unfortunately Sara failed to tie this up in a bow with her face. The eyes are dead and lifeless, and the open mouth is not a good look here. Had she projected some power she would have been called a bit higher.
8. Catie
The body looks a bit too cliché here, and I was hoping for more angelic, whereas here she’s halfway between innocent and sultry (either thing wouldn’t be a bad choice if only had she actually committed to it). The limbs do look great when looking at the whole picture, but I can’t shake off the feeling that she looks somewhat short despite her legs looking long at the same time. Maybe if she had straightened her back a little more? I still think it’s a decent shot all things said.
