So my boy,,,my love,,,Anton..,,he’s very protective of Griffin after everything that happened and how he got basically taken prisoner after the conclave. Like Anton was taken as well cause? He was alive but Griffin had the anchor so he was under a lot more suspicion.

So at first he cannot stand Cassandra because he’s just “excuse u how dare,??, you accuse my boy?? My soon to be fiancé??? How dAre u??” They warm up eventually but they initially just. Are not friends.

He gets along really well with Dorian, Sera, Iron Bull, Cole, and Varric. And Josephine!! He and Josephine get along really well cause. Antivan nobles

He like. Really wants to impress Vivienne cause like. It’s Vivienne and he’s like. GottA LIVE UP TO HER EXPECTATIONS.

He is neutral on solas at first but then catches wind of that friction between solas and Griffin and like. Tries to be like reasonable with Griffin but then sees how fucking condescending solas can be and he just ok nvm.

For the most part? Anton is just. A genuinely nice chill dude so he’d get along with most everyone.

FIANCE?? THEY WERE ENGAGED??

Not...technically in canon. Anton was planning on proposing after the conclave job but that didn’t get to happen obvs so. In canon griffin doesn’t know he was literally a day away from getting engaged to Anton but then he had to accidentally blow up a building. 

bUT in that wonderful au in which Anton goes with griffin when he happens upon the ritual thing like. Anton is holding onto griffin’s other arm when he grabs the anchor so he ends up getting pulled into the fade with griffin and survives with him. 

so yeah probably within a few days of the inquisition being formed Anton would’ve found a way to pop the question because “the world just got a lot more dangerous and I was gonna do this anyway but now I really want to do it cause I don’t want something to happen to us before I can say you’re my husband” so. def by halamshiral they’d already be engaged.

Hmmm so this Anton and Griffin both alive thing... They're together and happy and stuff but what about Dorian? Still in love with Griffin? Not able to get what he desires...? Hehe ♡

hMM. I mean I think Dorian might have a momentary crush on him but like. In canon dorian rly r l y starts to fall for griffin in the time between the end game and trespasser. Cause cass is gone and her and griffin’s relationship gets strained rly bad and so griffin relies on dorian for a l o t and they spend way more time together than before which is saying something. So like before it was a crush/infatuation but then it rly becomes like...shit I love this dude so much but I can’t just swoop in while he and cass are still technically together...

So if Anton was still alive like. dorian might have a small crush but he’s v respectful of how happy Anton makes griffin cause Grif and dorian would still become rly good friends. And when Anton proposes to griffin dorian d e m a n d s to be griffins best man cause...bffs...

regardless of who is alive or not griffin and dorian are always best friends oK,,,

IF GRIFFIN IS A COMPANION IS ANTON ALIVE

ye eaH he wouldn’t be romanceable cause if griffin isn’t the quizzie and is also alive that means he didn’t take the job for the conclave so the enTIRE MERC GROUP IS ALIVE. INCREDIBLE. 

so Anton would def be with him at sky hold along with the rest of the merc group. probably like what krem is like. not a companion but still able to have a convo with him. and lowkey I’d want there to be a quest where you help Anton propose to griffin

I mean Anton actually has a pretty hard time becoming inquisitor and being seen as a leader because like. Whereas Griffin is kinda a born leader and has so many years experience leading the merc group in combat and out of it like negotiating contracts and jobs and stuff, Anton doesn’t..?? I mean he was Griffin’s second in command but still he very much relied on Griffin to do the leading which worked out perfectly. So like for Griffin suddenly being in charge of people and the party isn’t that hard for him because he’s used to it but Anton like finds himself looking to see what Griffin is doing only to remember that he’s not there anymore.

Diplomatically, he takes to it better than Griffin cause he was raised as a noble so he kinda already gets the whole having to interact with other nobles, and he and Josephine would be fairly close so there’s that as well but.

IdK I’m not saying the inquisition would fail under Anton leading it, but he’d be second guessing himself a l o t compared to Griffin who is very similar to Cassandra in that whole I see what must be done and I do it.

I would think Griffin would be Hercules instead of Anton. But still what a cute au omg!!

I mean on a basic level of like. One being a hero and whatever maybe :0 But Anton is way too sweet and chill to be meg like griffin’s personality is way more sassy and sarcastic than Anton 

also continues the trend of Anton being a Big Ol Gay™ and seeing griffin for the first time and immediately falling in love because holy shit look at that beautiful man
