just had to get some emotions about wei chen out of my system. not sure if I’ll finish this sketch so I’m posting it as is for now. something about trust and exposing the parts of yourself you don’t really see as yours. also the inherent eroticism of leaving your fingerprints inside someone’s internal machinery.
9, 14, & 19 for Antony Basri, please!
For the OC "edgy questions" askbox game. Ask me questions about my OCs if you like! Antony Basri is one of my player characters from the interactive fiction game Fallen Hero. He's a master tech thief, and I'm still trying to figure out a good villain name for him after picking a default for the game.
9. Do you have a specific lyric or quote which you associate with your OC?
Well, I didn't until today, but now it's:
Yes I'm cashing in this ten cent life for another one/ And I ain't got the heart to lose another fight/ so until my ship comes in/ I'll live night by night
("Night by Night" by Steely Dan)
I'm sure there will be others when I finally get his playlist wrangled.
14. How does your OC want to be seen by other characters?
Ideally as little as possible. He can't really bring himself to actively cut ties, though, so he'd rather them see him as competent and complete — if he can just convince people that he's doing good and just living smaller now, maybe they won't get involved. They don't need to know how much he's lost and what he's ready to do to get it back.
19. How does your OC behave when enraged?
I misread that as "engaged" at first which would be a VERY different response hahaha. I think when he's truly furious he gets quiet and calm in a way that can read as genuine to people who don't know him well. Anger isn't really an emotion he was trained to express since he wasn't supposed to draw attention to himself. That said he's willing to get his hands a lot dirtier than he's had to so far, so I think he's a prime candidate for a classic "give me a reason, I dare you" or "make my day".
