THE DETECTIVE

Ethnicity: Thai

Appearance: Warm, beige skin. Dark brown eyes with perpetual eyebags, thick eyebrows, and a beauty mark under left eye.

Hiran: Short, black hair slicked back

Hathai: Medium-length, black hair worn in messy bun

THE POLITICIAN

Ethnicity: Chinese-American

Appearance: Cool, beige skin. Hazel eyes. Dimples on either side when they smile

Kelvin: Short, neatly styled brown hair

Ethnicity: British-American

Appearance: Pale skin. Bright green eyes. Crooked teeth and a cheeky grin.

Appearance: Tanned skin with obvious olive-skinned tan lines. Grey eyes, with subtle eyeliner for both genders.

Citrus: Curly hair dyed blonde

How would the ROs react to a sick MC who refused to admit they were sick even though they couldn't even stand on their feet properly but is stubborn af!

Anuman - They haven't seen a liar worse than you, and considering what their occupation is, that's saying something. They'll constantly ask you if you really don't need rest whenever you let out another sneeze looking like a sad wet towel, with it only getting worse as time goes on. Not so subtly, they'll hand you warm water, or clear the space for you to sleep, to which you refuse—much to their frustration. Eventually, they'll ask if you can hold onto their jacket for them, then swiftly wrap it around your shoulders before you could take back your word. At first, it'll be a "gotcha" moment, only for them to excuse themself once they've realized the implications of what they've done.

Zhong - They used to think that they were proficient in their skills, but that was before you got sick. Here they are, in one of the worst debates of their life—just like how it was in middle school. Your reasoning is clearly flawed, arguments easily dismissible, yet there's no limit to what you have to say. Once they're fed up enough, they'll step a little closer than usual, and put on their best pleading expression as they hold your face with warm hands. "MC, please. I'm doing this for you." They push down the rising embarrassment threatening to take over, which doesn't last once you sneeze in their face.

Ramirez - Two can play at that game. They'll fire back with every excuse known to man against every excuse you have. It's not the first time they've tested your patience, which means they know how to properly piss you off. Soon enough, you two have gotten yourselves into a silent standoff, the other too stubborn to budge. It's not until you hit them with the "Why do you care so much?" that their stern glare falters. They're just worried you'll get even sicker, right? Ugh, whatever—just eat the stew. It'll help with the sickness.

Lambert - They know your grit. They've seen it on the ice plenty of times, dragging the team out of dire situations. It's a good thing they figured out a way to deal with it a long time ago. Right now, they're the only obstacle in the way between you and the door, an apologetic smile on their face as they shrug. "If you're really not sick, you can try to leave, but you can barely stand in front of me." A glint in your eyes tells them that you're not taking this lightly. They brace themselves for a tug of war when you step closer, only to find themselves catching a now limp hockey player. They hope their face doesn't look as hot as it feels.

Moore - The only thing going through their mind is that they don't care if they go down with the ship, they'll get sick too. After the realization that words don't work, they resorted to latching onto you, physically holding you back. Arms wrapped around you like a vice, their "foolproof" plan seems to be faulty when their feet do nothing but slide across the floor as you continue to drag yourself out of there—singer in tow. They've opted to just snuggle in and enjoy the ride. You'll tire yourself out eventually.

Who are the big spoons and who are the little spoons out of the ROs?

Big spoons: Ramirez, Anuman

Ramirez is a cuddler, bordering on clingy when spooning. Anuman likes the feeling of anchoring onto someone when they sleep, giving them an additional feeling of security they don't need but want.

Little spoons: Lambert

Lambert goes with the flow because they don't really know what to do. They're just happy with anything.

Both spoons: Moore, Zhong

Both Moore and Zhong don't mind switching spooning places on a whim, as long as it's cozy.

Anuman snippet #1 - Dreams of they

First in-depth(?) snippet. I've decided to go down the list of ROs (Anuman, Zhong, Ramirez, Lambert, Moore) for the time being.

I always try to make stuff like these as non-spoilery as I can as to not affect the moments in the demo, ESPECIALLY since it's not out yet, but there will be glimpses nevertheless. Anyways, I think this might be a little short, but I hope you enjoy! (the only lengthy post I'll be making for the rest of the week, adios)

Anuman is not someone who dreams.

Compared to other worlds of song, theirs only hums an old tune. Desires fall short because of how easy to fulfill they are. If their aspirations took the form of a ball of yarn, it would be of varying shades of grey, and there would be enough to turn into a coaster for a mug than knitted into a rug.

However, in that coaster of yarn, contains one spun strand—carefully woven into the design in such a way no one would expect it to, yet taking centre stage all the same. It's such a unique colour, too. Different in a way that's hard to miss. It's almost ridiculous how they managed to completely miss this piece of yarn until it had found itself in the intricacies of their desires.

How silly was it, when they realized that their coaster had become more beautiful, was when it held their coffee for them?

Very silly.

Anuman chugged the coffee you gave them, teeth hitting the ceramic rim—an audible clink resonating in their office when they slammed it on their desk. They're quite thankful that the walls are insulated, because they're in no mood to answer questions. In that case, they should close the blinds too—else their unbearably warm face immortalizes itself into someone's memory.

💗 GROWING HEART - if they have a crush, is it noticable? what changes when they're in love?

Thanks for the questions anon! But my lips are sealed when it comes to how they act when they're in love. Spoilers!! Crushes I can get over, though.

Anuman:

💗 It depends if MC notices or not really, because they tend to be avoidant with their feelings (i.e. pretending their actions are things everyone does. You are not that slick bro). They don't always play it off well, so more perceptive MCs will take notice.

💘 They value honesty first and foremost, but mutual respect and trust come close as well. They think love at first sight was created by lovesick fools. They are an utterly unromantic person lol

🔧 If a relationship goes to waste, they won't try to fix it. They'll take it as proof that their pragmatism was right, and close back up.

Zhong:

💗 They aren't one to hide their interest, but they'll hold back from making any moves when it's just a crush. That doesn't mean they'll back off if someone else flirts with MC though.

💘 They value affection and healthy boundaries, especially good communication, but it's not a turn off when their partner struggles with any of those things. Everyone has to learn somewhere. They think that there are certain conditions that makes love at first sight, but otherwise believe it.

🔧 They'll try to clear things up and fix a relationship if things ended in bad blood, but they'll back off if that's not what the other person wants, even if they set the record straight.

Ramirez:

💗 This idiot doesn't even know they have a crush 😭😭😭 Like, they know something's changed, but they have no clue on what it is.

💘 They value independence, and the ability to work well with one another. They seem like a person who would find love at first sight ridiculous, but they actually believe in it wholeheartedly.

🔧 They'll be obviously devastated, and try to fix what they had. They won't be pushy, though, and if it doesn't work out, they'll cut everything about that person out of their life in order to stop thinking about them.

Lambert:

💗 They aren't good at hiding their feelings, but it hasn't gotten to a point where they forget how to interact yet. They get all smiley and warm whenever they're with MC, and seem to try to show off more when MC is looking.

💘 They value time and affection, as much as it flusters them. They fully believe in love at first sight, despite never having seen love.

🔧 They are very accepting of ending things, despite it clearly being the opposite of what they want. They'll ask, but they won't try to fix it. Not because they don't want to, but because they don't know how, and that pains them.

Moore:

💗 They get a little more flirty with a crush, but it still might be unclear whether or not they have feelings. Surprisingly, their actions don't announce what they truly feel, despite the flirting. They're more subtle and unsure than you might think.

💘 They value comfortability and trust, with humour being a welcomed bonus. They don't believe in love at first sight, there are too many factors to love in order for it to happen.

🔧 They'll accept things quietly, and not make a scene out of it. They won't attempt to fix their relationship, even if it's the best they've ever had, because they believe they're the reason it ended.

What are the ROs love languages?

Thanks for the ask! It actually prompted me to do a love language test through the perspective of each of the characters, which was really fun if some of them weren't 30 damn questions.

Anuman - A workaholic like them values a combination between acts of service and quality time the most. The feel of someone's presence makes work a little easier, regardless of the content.

Zhong - They love physical touch, especially the short, fleeting ones like tucking a strand of hair back, or a subtle brush in public. Those small reminders always coaxes a grin out of them.

Ramirez - They will do acts of service, and begrudgingly accept them in return. They will be grumbling about how they "Already had it handled," for about twenty minutes, and then help you reach something off the shelf.

Lambert - Fully a quality time person, but appreciates receiving small gifts and decorating their home with them. Physical touch scares them a little, but they'll fight the nervous swirling in their gut to hold your hand.

Moore - Words of affirmation always works to dispel any doubts and reservations. They love to boast about you in public, and then spend some quality time by performing one-on-one mini concerts in the privacy of your home.

Care to share some facts about the ROs?

Of course. I've actually already shared a fact about each of the ROs in the moodboard, but I'm not against sharing some more about them!

Anuman - They can sketch, really well. They first started it out of curiosity from watching forensic artists, but it's slowly became a way to sketch out any intense emotions and desires they keep under lock and key.

Zhong - Afternoons are their favourite time of day, especially when it's sunny. However, instead of planning excursions to go on, they'd rather spend that time lazing around or napping.

Ramirez - They know how to hold five young children at the same time, balancing two on each arm and having one sit on their shoulders. Of course, the children have to be light enough in order to be carried like that.

Lambert - Has a habit of chewing when their nervous. This includes not only their lips, but their clothing. A lot of their hoodies tend to be frayed at the ends of the sleeves as a result.

Moore - Often copies mannerisms with the person they're talking to when they're really focused on what the other is saying. It's a habit they picked up from childhood with people they care a lot about.
