When I was young and full of hope I always mocked the whole 'they move into a haunted house and don't leave at the first sight of danger' thing. But now that I know the chances of me owning a house (ha! an apartment!) are about as high as (and directly connected to) winning a lottery, I realize no one and no thing would move me from that fucking house.

Like, I can die here, terrified and mentally scared or I can live in another shared space and no longer have a kitchen to myself whenever I want it.

The choice is easy.
