Neo is a Lon’qu!Inigo!Morgan, who has the memories of the main awakening timeline... at first. His memories were sealed off by Naga, in an effort to get him to be his normally happy self, and to prevent him from being heavily affected like the other kids.
However, once he arrives in the realm of Fates, Naga’s memory blocking power isn’t exactly being upheld all the time. So all those times morgan’s head hurt, when it was his memory being held back... it actually reveals some memories upon him.
And when enough unlocks, you get the full picture, correct?
Neo has unlocked more memories of his version of his father, and about his father teaching him how to dance. He also unlocked the memories of two versions of everyone when he was a kid, and that his mother was starting to get scared.
Then, when another memory came, it was the tipping point. Neo’s head rung out in pain as he remembered his mother’s takeover, how she quickly subdued him into following her orders, how he was concious, but the grima at the front of his mind was in control.
He remembers going around to the older versions of the kid characters, under a guise of friendship, and when they noticed his glowing red eyes, him killing them: a sword of thunder, an axe of fire, or the lance of wind, preventing them from getting the word out that the apocolypse was going to happen.
Neo remembers vividly of his father, which he had put the severed head of on a stake as risen overwhelmed the country, dooming the timeline to yet another repeat of the first. From there, he served as his mother’s agent of death, trying to kill those who opposed her.
Neo remembers meeting with naga, and how his overlayed grima energy started to shave off, and how he started to panic, possibly not considering even going on because of just what he had done, how he had ignored all the warnings, how it was all his fault-
and how naga flicked a finger, and placed the block on his memory, and sent him to the past.
Neo realized the reason he remembered stuff about his mother was because that was Naga’s memories, implanted in there to keep a happy image of his mother. In truth, Neo’s only happy memory of her that WASN’T implanted was his mother inviting him to play a few games... which was followed by her possessing him. Yeah, not really good, is it?
Neo starts out as a slightly oblivious boy who likes to compliment people, gather pretty things, think about life slightly with a smile on his face, and a generally well-mannered dude who can sing like his grandma. He’s bothered by his missing memories, but likes to make new ones to make up for his missing ones. He also is a great front-line fighter. Neo’s mark is sort of faded.
When he gets his memories, though, his obliviousness is gone. He starts to obsessively hoard pretty things to disrupt his trains of thoughts, he starts feeling a lot more guilty about his past and can’t look at any of the awakening chars without remembering their deaths. He gets a lot more reckless in battle. His happy memories are being clogged up by his bad memories from his bad future. Neo’s mark becomes like a flare on his skin due to his activated memories.
Neo eventually can’t take it, and seals away those memories again by his own hand. If he couldn’t find it, it takes someone close to him to not have him go out and down himself by his own hand.
He tends to cover up his troubles with smiles a lot more when he gets his memories back, but its hard. Neo admires Laslow for being able to keep a smile on his face with all he’s gone through.
