HE MAY HAVE UNDERESTIMATED HER . though she doesn’t particularly mind this time . unlike most people who do so cloud isn’t incredibly vocal about it & doesn’t stop her from doing what she says she will . some would call that irresponsible but kairi appreciates not being treated like a baby . funny it should be cloud to do this who’s actually seen her as a baby . but she digresses .
SHE STEPS OFF THE BIKE , a satisfied grin on her lips as she removes the pink helmet she’d brought with her . he’d watched her skillfully drive the bike around in circles in the radiant garden courtyard ( there’s dark skid marks on the stone floor now which will most assuredly give even & ienzo a heart attack but she doesn’t really care ) . with each corner her turns grow sharper & more smooth .
DRIVING FENRIR IS A LITTLE HARDER than the gummiship because it doesn’t have as many controls & relies on a lot of balance but after a bit of instruction & practice she got the hang of it pretty well . now it’s time to show off . ❛ did you see that !? ❜ her tone almost has a childlike excitement to it , like a kid eager to show off to their parent or older sibling an accomplishment she’d made . kairi spares no pride as she places the helmet on the ground between them . ❛ did you see how smooth that was !? ❜
SHE THINKS SHE CAN SEE the smallest trace of a smile on the man’s face . it’s incredibly subtle & it looks like he’s trying to hide it but kairi knows . try as he might he can’t hide from her . her sense of pride grows as she beams up at him . cloud gives her a single slow nod , reaching forward to pat her head in what she thinks is meant to be a praising & affectionate matter . “ you did good . ”
PERHAPS TO SOME this exchange would be considered awkward & uncomfortable but kairi doesn’t mind . she understands not everyone is as affectionate & open with their feelings as she is . but that won’t stop her from giving cloud affection . therefore she rushes toward him & wraps her tiny arms around his middle in a big warm hug . ❛ thank you , cloud … for everything . ❜
