the thing is i'll never get over the way hurley tells kate about sawyer and juliet. the "who couldn't see that coming" comment sends me into a rage because what do you know about them anymore!!! and sorry no their relationship was not inevitable and paints it like it's just because they were left behind together. but they have a whole life together!! it does such a disservice to their character growth and their relationship to pretend that it's less than it is. the post lafleur episodes are sooo hard to watch sometimes the way the writers undermine sawyer and juliet when they built the emotional arc of the finale around them. even if i forgive them for the love triange (i do not) that doesn't mean they had to spend more time lessening the importance of sawyer's relationship with juliet in comparison to his relationship with kate. we already had 4 seasons of him and kate!!!
