yugamu works as the third in so many takumi ships because he's generally pretty chill and the sumikage dynamic still works in a polycule. here's some examples:

yugamu being the aotsumi third: there is So Much going on here and it would be disastrous for takumi wrangling them but it would also be entertaining. like watching a car accident

yugamu being the shizumino third: new ao3 tag "Inappropriate Usage of Revive-o-Matic". they are going to pavlov takumi into liking gore

yugamu being the sumifuji third: takumi and his two abused by the medical system partners...honestly I fw the yugamu-nozomi dynamic the trust they have in each other is sweet & I think yugamu could bring out a more freaky side in the two of them they wouldn't do with each other and that helps balance their relationship bc both of them need the opportunity to be a Little weird.

yugamu being the takubasa third: this kind of happens in canon. kind of.
