Man, I just ordered one too. I thought it said 10 day wait, not weeks
Yes the wait for AP cages is soooo long…
But so worth it.

Ok, so I've been looking for help and since it looks like your on i figured I'd ask. I just got and set-up an AP Cage for my BP and I got a UTH with it and put my Jump Start thermostat probe in the probe slot and everything and got it all going-
(part 2) -but with the jumpstart I can it set it for 108max which in turn only gets the hot spot to 86 at the highest. So now I don’t know what to do. I was looking for a different therm but they all max at 100-110 so should I put the probe inside or what?
So it sounds to me like the issue may be that the heat mat just isn’t capable of heating the cage appropriately through the thick material. Is the thermostat reading that the cage is up to 108 degrees and then shutting off or is it constantly heating and not ever reading 108 degrees? To test whether it is the probe or the actual heat mat that’s the issue here you can take the probe away from the mat so it won’t read the correct heat no matter what and then let the mat keep heating at full power and see if it gets up to the correct temperature. If it doesn’t then you may need to find a more powerful heating element to get through the thick, insulating material of the AP cage. I know some AP cages come with built in heat tape so you might want to try switching to heat tape instead. Or you could contact the makers of the cage and see what heating elements they recommend.
Let me know if that helps or if you need more advice.
