Love how Bec and Jaspers both resort to trying to bury or move past their issues instead of address them. Two sides of the same coin.
Cal like whines all the time and everybody else is like "God they're soooo annoying. Good thing I handle my issues normally like a normal person." And then they put their feelings in a box to handle later and then just leave it there untouched while it messes with their emotions.
Jaspers is like "Actually that child I used to be? That little caffeine addicted monster? Not me anymore. He's dead and buried. I have evolved. I have grown past him and his bullying of illiterate children." And he HASN'T. He's so determined to be better than whatever that was and to be this new person that he hasn't noticed that he's like, still a child. Who acts like one. He's so determined to just move past issues because adults do that right? They apologize and they move on and then we stop dwelling on it so why is it still an issue?
I love that Bec will just move on with his life once he knows he's upset about something. He'll just put it away and then never look back while it just simmers and sinks into his psyche. Because bottling up his issues is the correct way to deal with them obviously. Just stewing in it isn't going to backfire and turn him into a petty dweeb like AP or anything. Whaaaat? Nooooo.
