The sky outside my house is deep golden yellow. Yesterday the sun was red. It's creeping me out a lot but also putting me in a mood to write something post apocalyptic.

The smog from wild fires is so bad in the twin cities there’s emergency health hazard warnings and it’s supposed to last until at least tomorrow night :( I hate that this has become normal for where I live over the past 5 years or so. Good thing my partner is chronically ill and I also had to buy respirators incase of gassing during the riots so we’re always loaded up with protective gear. I do worry a lot for the unhoused people right now in my city though, we’re currently in a heat wave on top of the smog/smoke in the air and shelters are perpetually full so finding relief from these post-apocalypse ass conditions can’t be easy rn. Idk I’ll try to do some volunteer work, maybe this weekend and it’ll put me more at ease at least knowing I did something.
