Imagine in the Apparition Hunter Au that Michael and Gavin end up chasing after the same ghost one day, and Gavin gets completely distracted trying to blow the fuck outta Michael because he's angry that he completely forgets about the other ghost. That ghost comes up behind him to blast him into kingdom-come but Michael gets in the way and it shot down protecting Gavin. He ends up turning back to normal and Gavin takes care of the other ghost just to be left totally conflicted with KO'd Michael.

imagine tho he doesnt see michael actually transform tho so hes just like agh i lost that ghost or wow he ran away after one hit jfc and he beats the other ghost but then finds michael unconcious and is just like oh no boy whats going on what happened r u okay and like takes care of him like that wasnt just the same guy he attempted to kill a second ago
in apparition hunter in ryan's ghost costume design
i gave him ghost gauntlets which in dp that's like ghost tech the fentons made that lets them able to grab ghosts and other junk idr right now but
ryan has lots of access to ghost tech in the labs so of course he would have some tech he took from work
it's one of the things that makes him such a dangerous and fearsome ghosts to all of the lesser ghosts in the ghost zone
