13. Do you believe in reincarnation?

i do not, but as with most post-death concepts i don’t actively not believe in it either? i am sometimes struck with the feeling that everyone who has ever been alive is a different facet of the same thing though, which i don’t strictly believe either, but feels maybe related?

14. Would you want to be reincarnated?

not...really? being a creature is a lot lmao — but also, i suspect my current opinions about immortality might eventually turn into a better understanding of the merits of reincarnation as i get older? maybe? we’ll see!

i’m going to say The Iliad because it was the first thing that came to mind, but i can’t not also mention things written by friends who have been kind enough to share their creations with me, and From A Swedish Homestead by Selma Lagerlöf. this was too many books whoops

what’s your astrological sign? sagittarius! although if you go with the “new” 13 sign system, i’m ophiucus.

what’s the best piece of advice you ever received? any time anyone ever encouraged me to figure something out for myself. i don’t keep track of individual pieces of advice and where they came from very much but it is a very big deal to me that i come for a social and educational climate where thinking for yourself is highly valued.

also, i can’t remember who first suggested it to me, but when i first heard from someone else that identity is not the realest thing in the world and so you can play around with it and it’s ok if you’re not always the same person. i think it might have been my mom that first introduced this to me?

when’s the last time you followed your instincts? sunday evening. i made a declaration i wasn’t sure i was going to make and uh…it went really well.

what’s your favorite food? any kind of curry tbh. i’m a particularly big fan of thai-style green curries.

what’s your secret dream? hmm! i don’t have much in the way of secrets. i have a lot of tv interviews with myself in the shower in which i’m very accomplished and frightening?

not to my knowledge! no one on my side has expressed any dissatisfaction with that, and i don’t think any of boy’s people would be mad about it (although i suppose i don’t know)

your wish is my command

my feelings of empathy about physical pain are concentrated in my right big toe

my jaw is about 3mm off center, which i simultaneously find charming and unfortunate

i’ve historically tried to minimize my breasts, which are of an above average size for my weight, but i’ve recently come to like them more for mysterious reasons

i have really pretty hands imo. i try to keep the nails nice as much as i reasonably can

i still get what i thought were growing pains in my legs. i haven’t gotten taller in years though, so it must not be growing pains?

you can see the vein in my inner wrist/forearm all the way up to my elbow

i have two rogue face hairs that really want to be part of a majestic lumberjack beard, but i and my other face hairs are totally not on board

i think pastel colored foolish cakey lingerie makes my body look really delightful

Chicago: What do you ache for?

Oh boy, lots of things maybe, but in a way where I’m not actually dissatisfied with anything. Direction in life, but also instability and uncertainty. To feel like I know who I am, but also to keep pushing myself to upset my beliefs about myself. Prestige, but also not to desire prestige. To be as good at solitude as I once was, but not to be alone. To stay in this comfortable Bavarian apartment, but also to live in a cramped and friendly hostel room again, but also to go home, but also to live in a house with two to four cute roommates. An anonymous one night stand, a new fling, to kiss A’s lovely jaw again, to fall properly in love in a real and committed sense. To ache as strongly as I did just a few of days ago when I couldn’t stop crying. To fix my goddamn hair. To understand everything. To feel adrenaline and to feel peaceful. To feel alive, whatever that means - and I do.

What is one food you always overeat?

“Shrimp Sauce!!!!” It’s spaghetti/linguine with sauce and shrimp, just like Grandma used to make! I eat a lot of pasta in general but my gods, make Grandma’s sauce and I eat it until I pop!
