Adding apples and maple syrup to baked beans makes this vegan version taste even better.
Ingredients: 2 cups cooked navy beans. 1 apple, diced. 1/2 cup tomato sauce. 1/4 cup maple syrup. 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar. 1 tablespoon soy sauce. 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard. 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika. 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Set the oven to 350F 175C and heat it up. Put cooked navy beans, apple chunks, tomato sauce, maple syrup, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Combine well by mixing. Put the mixture in a baking dish. Put it in an oven that has already been heated up and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the beans are soft and the sauce has thickened. Take it out of the oven and let it cool down for a few minutes before you serve it. Enjoy while still warm!
