Dakota: His family is a very warm and happy one. His mother was born without arms but she uses her magic to create a pair or arms for herself or even more to help her. She can control each one as she pleases, usually used them to prevent Dakota from falling on a river or crashing someone's boxes.
Petunia: One of her dads is a witch, he also loved the stars. When she was younger, she and her Dad went to the fields close to their house to watch the stars and practice magic.
Adrianne: she lives underwater. Her mother, father and siblings are merfolk. She used to swim with whales and prank pirates who dared to cross their waters.
Dimitry: His mother is a goddess AND a queen.
