I just caught myself in a stream of consciousness and realized that I thought the words "I think this is my school" 😳

I JUST GOT ACCEPTED TO WASHU.

You guys have to understand that this was my DREAM school for undergrad. I thought about it constantly my senior year of high school. They waitlisted me for undergrad. And now, they want ME! HA! This is such a win for my 17 year old heart I'm shaking

Just in case y'all suspect I only post good news here -

My Vanderbilt app was continued and I was put on the alternate list at UCSF today. While I certainly would’ve loved to have been accepted outright at both of these schools, I’ve been remembering that the people I’m being compared to are literally the best of the best, and it’s an honor to even be in such company. Here’s to staying positive for updates in the new year!

Today I finished my thesis proposal lit review, had a great lunch courtesy of the food science department , and GOT AN OFFER AT THE UNIVERSITY OF CINCINNATI MD/PHD PROGRAM!!!!!!!! I'm going to be a physician scientist! Someone will pay for me to go to med school!! 😭😭

I JUST GOT INVITED TO INTERVIEW AT THE VANDERBILT MD/PHD PROGRAM MY TOP CHOICE!!!!

alas, I have a week full of excitement to look forward to as it's the last week of my internship, and the tap show I'm dancing in + gala, and as always a week that holds the promise of good news ☺️

there’s one particular school that I feel I fit their mission veeeery well, not to mention competitive numbers, and submitted their secondary legit the first week of July…..and a ton of people have gotten interviews and I’m not one of them. it’s making me very >:(

I just scheduled my first interview for medical school.
