About to fly back home, I want to report the rest of my very small Deltarune related adventures in Japan ...

So. I got to drink Ralsei!

This fluffy-boy drink (together with one themed for Frisk and Napstablook, as well as other Fangamer IPs) was available at GiGo in Kyoto. It was a Melon Soda. You also got a random coaster with your order, but I had no luck receiving one with UT/DR motive.

There was also a little notebook for guests to write and draw in, so I hastily scribbled a Tenna down. Also Kyoto's Fangamer wall illustration was really pretty!

While strolling through Osaka a few days later I also came upon DR Gashapon machines, I was so happy ... I rolled three times and while I unfortunately didn't pull any Spamton (Jevil is also really cute), I was happy to at least get three different ones and no doubles :]

Looks like Ralsei wanted a little bit of attention this time around. And I'm very ok with that! ☆

*crawling out the depths of her cave* we already hit the middle of the month again (HUH??), so I thought I'd throw out a sign of life! ramblings and current works-in-progress under cut!

(✿ please note English is not my first language, so apologies for any typos and if I sound weird sometimes)

First off, thank you to everyone who liked my DR + Sailor Moon reanimation from Christmas and hello to all new followers! and sorry for immediately not seeing anything from me upon that, lol. I am a notorious slow, underconfident and easily over-whelmed artist, so I may retreat back into my cave every so often. I am very inconsistent, both in my art and activity, but after living with myself for so long I decided to embrace it instead of agonizing about it. If you are still fine with this, I'll be happy to have you along. I am however a very active lurker and you may notice me here and there in comment sections.

The recent video still gets some attention over at YouTube and reading the comments always makes me smile. Have this reference thing I created when I figured out the colours for Spamton and Tenna as well as the look of their oven mittens.

For my next animation projects that I am realistically able to do I have 2 small very small, very stupid things planned. And then of course several music videos, you know how it is, maybe probably. There's one Spamton-focused one I'd especially love to make.

… Oh! Actually, I started another (anime ending song) reanimation with Tenna as main focus months ago. It's so sickeningly cute, it's actually embarrassing lol. But love the main character energy of Tenna it's radiating. I'd love to keep working on this too!

I actually have some comics sketched out, too?! Just yesterday something hit me and I scribbled out 10 pages I'm surprisingly satisfied with (my writing SUCKS and my pacing SUCKS and my paneling SUCKS but how to get better if not just do it and learn how to do all of this!!!!) I'm just happy if the result is at least a little coherent because I really struggle with this

Below is a much older WIP, one of the drafts for a pipis comic. Whenever I have an idea, I just draw all these floating faces and texts and then somehow have to come up with how to put this into comic form HAHA ((cries)) this one I personally find hilarious. I must put it into reality.

I see a lot of oomfs and others struggling with their art or otherwise recently, and I often feel helpless what to do to cheer them up, how to tell them that I relate so much to their feelings but not wanting to make this about myself. unfortunately there is never an easy solution for this. I love having a place to discover wonderful fan creations, and I want you to be part of it, so I will keep trying to create things of my own so they may give you give back some joy and spark you thought you have lost. even though it can be scary, if there's just one person gaining something from it, that is enough reason for me to share what I cooked up in my little cave

Turns out that a 20 hours flight to Japan was the opportunity I needed to finally line my 8-page comic that's been sitting around here for a while now… it's not quite done yet, but I can share something else

I ate Tenna!!! And Toriel ☺️ (amongst other non-UT/DR characters)

These are small, fluffy waffle snacks bought at the Fangamer Japan store in Shibuya. I got really lucky because those were just launched before my arrival. You cannot choose which characters you get, so I was really happy to receive these two.

my husband really likes Spamton

My husband has not played Deltarune, he has watched me play it sometimes and patiently listens to me whenever I clumsily talk about it (which may be more confusing than anything).

However, he DOES have a huge soft spot for Spamton, and it's honestly been really endearing to witness.

For one, he likes him because he is so weird, entertaining and funny looking. But then, he also just genuinely feels for the guy, sad what happened to him and all that. Whenever I show him a cool new comic/animation/artwork that involves him, he gets really upset when it's something sad OR if Spamton ends up as the butt of the joke. Vice versa he's happy when good stuff is happening to him.

Last year when he asked me about what I would like as anniversary gift, I pointed him towards the Fangamer shop and the Tenna and Spamton plushies. I remember that some time later we had a conversation that went like this:

Husband: "I could only order Spamton bundled together with Tenna. I couldn't put him separately."

Me: "?? Yeah that's alright! Why, did you want to order more of him?"

Husband: "Yeah, one for you and one for me."

I was genuinely surprised for a moment, then just laughed and said "Well, you can't separate them! Each Spamton in this household needs his own Tenna!". It's not like he does not like Tenna (it was more a question of budget), nor do we usually keep multiple versions of the same plush at home. He just likes the creature THAT damn much that he would have liked one for himself.

I just thought it's cute and kind of wonderful Spamton has gained a fan like that.

Some time in my adult life I said "Let's pick up piano lessons" because I never learnt an instrument, so I did. I don't play a lot outside of my short weekly lesson though, so I am not great at it ... but I have been having fun practicing short Deltarune tunes every now and then on my keyboard

Unfortunately I haven't figured out yet how to properly record, so you can hear me hitting the keys quite loudly 🥹 But here are two short snippets I did like

I started Lost Girl very recently, the song has been on my mind 24/7 for months... I hope my current motivation doesn't leave (so soon) and that I learn to play it better and to completion eventually (ง•̀-•́)ง

Yes, yes. And also carrying that feeling of guilt that came along with their disappearance …

(Thank you anon for sending in that ask and to everyone writing fun and nice things to my recent comic! It was a very experimental thing for me to create and I was super nervous to post it, so I was really glad to see people enjoying it just fine. Reading every single thought and reaction made me very happy throughout the week. thanks for making returning to work much more bearable!)
