I’ve gotten to the point where I know I’m never going to figure out which bits are constructed by society and which aren’t so I’ve decided not to think about it too much and be content with not fully understand why it happens, but not judging anyone
That's a good way to live life. I do find it interesting though. We have such weird ideas us humans.

Yeah, I think the reason many people attribute that to women is because people associate women and vaginas, even though gender and genitalia are unrelated and honestly society as a whole is b dumb with this shit
Yis, it's v confusing because it's difficult to know which bits are socially constructed and which bits aren't. Like how much our sexualities are based off of biological factors and how much is based off of our ideas of masculine and feminine. Even gender surely has a biological resonance otherwise gender dysphoria wouldn't exist? But the lines are so blurred. (fuck Robin Thicke for making it so that when people say that the stupid song plays in my head).
If anyone (probably just Jenny) is curious to how this Charly v Channel 4 battle continued, this is how I replied:
"Dear Mr Danielson,
Firstly, thank you very much for replying. I understand your point about censorship, however I reiterate my point that the comments would most likely not have been broadcast if they were using very racist or homophobic language. Additionally the comments were not made 'by Conchita Wurst' but about her, which makes me think that this is very much a 'stock answer' that you have slightly re-worded to fit the topic without fully investigating it. Although I appreciate the fact you have to reply within a certain time-frame, I would prefer to wait for a more accurate and thought-out response from whoever was responsible for the programme.
I am not trans myself and so I am not personally offended. However I feel that, as you are one of the leading television broadcasters in the UK, it is your responsibility to represent all types of people respectfully. This means treating transphobic remarks in the same way you would treated racist ones. The fact that it is a reality show does not excuse the makers of Gogglebox from spreading transphobic comments and presenting them in the form of humour and entertainment.
Thank you,
Charlotte"

We watched this short film "inspired by" The Changeling (the play we're studying) but it had very little to do with The Changeling xD
