I loved you, I felt you I gave you my heart, exposed myself from the start But you walked away and gave up on us I sit here thinking about you day and night My heart bleeds for you because it cannot survive without you My mind thinks about all the good times we’ve had The times I kissed you, touched you, laughed with you You made me open my heart and reluctantly I did. Standing here with my heart in my hands, bleeding, I look down at the mess I’ve made My mind told me to be careful, to not fall so easily Yet I took a chance because you brought a whole different side of me My mind told me to stay away that you weren’t serious My heart begged and pleaded with my mind to give you a chance I gambled and now I have lost everything Because you were my all, my love, my one and only But I was wrong, I was stupid and a fool You played me well, you toyed with my feelings And now I have to pick up the pieces you left behind And tend to the wound you have just inflicted on my sensitive heart.
