----------------------------- I kept this pretty vague so people can insert what they want <3 ----------------------------- Echo x Reader Fluff ----------------------------- Pacing in circles in your quarters as your palms sweat and you try to keep your legs from shaking, you had asked Echo to come over - wanting to tell him something important you'd been keeping a secret. After a while of thinking things over, you felt like you wanted to tell someone, you'd been worried about how people would react or think of you after you told them. So you thought it would be a good idea to just tell one person first, trusting Echo the most you naturally chose to tell him. --------
"You're what?" He asked, slightly confused since he never learned about these things, which for you was actually helpful because you could explain it to him and he was very open and willing to learn more. For some reason, while you explained you moved your hands and arms more than was really needed for explaining something like this, a nervous habit, but it made him smile which made you feel better about yourself. Seeing how nervous you were he takes your hand and leads you over to take a seat, sitting down by the window that looked out into the far reaches of space. "Why are we sitting here?" You asked looking over to him, the stary sky reflecting in his brown eyes. "Perspective." "Huh?" You tilt your head confused by what he means. "I don't know much of the world outside of this war, but something I have learned is that we are just a small part of this galaxy. There's enough room for everyone to be themselves and love who they want..." He was unsure if his words brought his message across to you, but he tried his best. Sliding your hand around his arm you lean against him, laying your head on his shoulder, "Thanks Echo, I've been so worried about telling anyone, I guess I was afraid it would make people see me differently." He carefully moved his arm out of your grip placing it around your shoulders gently rubbing it with his hand.
"If anyone ever makes you feel that way just let me know, okay?" "Echo I hope you don't mean you're going to beat someone up." "I didn't say that, I mean unless you want me too," he replied with a smirk making you laugh. "Echo!" You replied slapping his chest plate. "What?!" He said now laughing with you as you shook your head.
“You can’t just beat people up over stuff.” “You can if they’re being unreasonable and it’s important.” “Are you speaking from experience Echo? I never considered you the type to get into a fight with others.”
“I have, but I only do it if it’s meaningful to me...or if they make me upset.” You giggle at his response, shaking your head again.
“I’m serious if anyone gives you trouble about this I’ll be there to put some sense into them.” “What about using words,” you said holding back more laughter. “I can use both my words and fists at the same time -- OW!” You playfully jab him with your elbow.
“Echo?” “Yeah?” "Thanks," you say smiling at him.
"It's the least I can do for you." "I appreciate it,” you replied resting your head back on his shoulder as his hand rubbed your arm and shoulder, both of you looking out the window at the vastness of the galaxy.
