Still Salty About The Class War
Act I Jayce and Viktor are driven by the goal to change the world.
Act II Jayce and Viktor are driven by the need to save Viktor. But like... they only understood their invention as a power source, not a health cure so they’re left trying to shove square pegs into round holes.
But you know what is a health cure? Healthcare. Not feeding a whole city pollution run off. Ending overpolicing (and policing in general). Mental health resources. Fair wages. Resources. Education. Access to medicine. Unpolluted food. Sunlight. Clean water. Fresh air.
Everything the council has the means to fix. Y’know, the one Jayce throws a mini-hissy fit at being coerced to join because “he didn’t sign up to be in politics, he just wants to do science so he can make the world a better place.”
It’s like Jayce is a foot from the target and is still looking around like “where do I point my hammer-gun?”
(Spoiler: his aim sucks anyway. he already proved that)
And while it’s too late for those things to necessarily cure Viktor, all of them do stop the Undercity from churning out more illness. And are like, a stepping stone to ending oppression and shit.
I’m still salty.
