Day 4: Share your favorite Arcane dragons

Much to the disappointment of her status-seeking family, Skyla abandoned her university studies to run off with a charming, guitar-playing drifter. Sadly, her boyfriend disappeared several months into their whirlwind romance, in turn abandoning her in the middle of the Scarred Wasteland. With nowhere else to turn for money, she signed up for the nearest available opportunity - to explore and research an uncharted stretch of limestone cavern.

The expedition leader, Lysianthos, noticed Skyla struggling and used her caving experience to help Skyla through her rough patch. The two quickly became close, spending many nights together in the depths. Towards the end of the expedition, though, there was an unfortunate turn of events.

Lysianthos, hoping to give Skyla a greater purpose, tasked her with translating an artifact she discovered - an old tome of Shadow spells. Assuming Skyla’s natural elemental resistance, she thought it would make for a harmless curiosity to pass the nights. She hadn’t counted on Skyla’s obsessive personality to take over, and the deeper they explored, the more she gradually became bent on finding every possible way to absorb the raw magical energy surrounding her.

When finally confronted by her concerned partner, Skyla, now corrupted by her desire to consume, lashed out with unexpected force. In doing so, she weakened a critical point in the chamber’s integrity and fled, and most of the expedition team was killed by the ensuing cave-in. Regardless of Skyla’s intentions, Lysianthos, wracked by guilt, has made it her mission to track down Skyla and free her from her magical corruption.

ANIMATIC: Arcane Dragons - Hextech Dilemma

It's been a long time since I've had the inspiration to complete an animatic! The Arcane brainrot has been going strong after the end of season 2, especially after I did all of my dragon designs for the characters. I hope you like this dragon-ified interpretation of one of my favorite scenes!
