H108 Beyond! - Early Second Squad Design Concepts

When it came to making designs for all the Hero 108: Beyond characters, I put a LOT of thought into what everyone would look like. I gathered a lot of references, read information on weapons and clothing—and, if you're familiar, you may have noticed some tiny similarities between everyone and the art of their Water Margin counterparts online!

Second Squad required more thought from me, however. I wanted to consider everything I mentioned, as well as where I liked to headcanon they would be in life some years later. At the same time, I wanted to consider their potential character arcs they have either already had, OR are about to go on.

This was ESPECIALLY so for Alpha Girl, as she is my favorite Second Squad member, and I had a LOT of ideas for her. Her design was planned months before anyone else's on Second Squad and, as you can see, she has a second design too. This design is a part of a character arc I have in mind for her, where the chaos injury she suffered in Second to None has more unintended consequences than anyone realizes. No one else but Woo the Wise and Apetrully are aware of this, but the rest of Second Squad knows something is happening. They're concerned.

However, there is more beneath the surface than ANYONE knows.

Latifah is slowly becoming an oni, whether she likes it or not. But it's not just the chaos weaponized against her that is causing this issue. It's something far, far deeper. Something related to the creation of her family, and how far a father is willing to go to see the birth of his daughter.

(Lemme preface this by saying i not mad or upset at anybody, or even upset in general. Jus curious. Also not meant to trash on anybody's interpretation of a character. You got the right to feel how you want, but PLEASE be respectful about this, and i be respectful to you.)

Feel like i got a drastically different interpretation of Archer Lee than most the fandom. Like, in almost all depictions i seen, they're portrayed as sort of a 'little shit', for lack of better word? And i'm jus confused. I'm going based of their description in Hero 108 Online that say "Super nervous and very cautious"- and also feel like we need more warriors that are softer and nervous, we got enough little shits IMO. Would jus like to kno where this headcanon came from, seeing how Archer barely get any characterization in the show, due to lack of screentime.
