Corner of Archer Avenue and Lawndale Street: At a first glance there seems to be nothing wrong with this sidewalk on Archer and Lawndale but when you take a closer look you find something different. Pavements like these make for possible injuries because of how hidden the dip is on the pavement. People with strollers, on bikes, and on wheelchairs may not see it and possibly fall and or injure themselves.

3348 S. Pulaski Rd.: This sidewalk raised and cracked, creating a real tripping risk for people walking to and from the nearby bus stops and the Target warehouse across the street. The damaged pavement makes the path harder to navigate safely. (Photo/Ayana Hyland)
4600 South Springfield Ave: This sidewalk is located near the Archer Heights neighborhood. The sidewalk is broken into pieces. It has a lot of cracks which can cause people to trip and the only way to avoid this sidewalk is through the grass.

4943 S. Kedvale Ave: This hazardous sidewalk is located in Archer Heights on the southside of Chicago. This large crack in the sidewalk is located in a residential neighborhood. Unsuspecting kids and adults could injure themselves tripping on this divot in the sidewalk.

This elementary school I used to attend and the one that I remember the most. Walking around, I remember how this area was around 50% Latinx & 50% White. I also remember the memories that I have from this school. Yet it is worth noting how there was a time that me and my family almost moved to nearby Cicero, IL.
