just had some happy news
our newer wheelchair Saoirse the Younger who broke is ready for collection, and she got repaired under warranty! it took 8 weeks because parts had to be fabricated in germany and then shipped back here (with all the customs bs) before reassembly, but she's finally back!
and we now have options, which is great - over the past two months we've been enjoying the use of Saoirse the Elder, who's a more manoeuvrable wheelchair, the only problem with her is she's pretty tiring to use because we still have to self-propel even though there's power assist - but it does mean that on occasions where she'd be more convenient we can use her instead (examples are: going out to meet friends and actually being able to get our knees under the table)
plus using Saoirse the Elder has really strengthened our arms and shoulders, meaning our archery has improved a lot - and the archery made using Saoirse the Elder possible these past weeks in a way it wasn't before, our arms and shoulder have literally never been this strong in our life
