Harry threw a punch at you, and you barely ducked aside from it, trying to mirror the movement that Archie was showing you. They seemed to have a kind of system going on for training you, even though your own fighting understanding was limited.
‘That was much better,’ praised Archie, but almost as soon as he had spoken Harry’s arm came down fast. The control that he had over his movements was awe-inspiring – the fact that Harry’s hand barely tapped your head before you could move away – and if it had been any other situation you would have complimented it, likened it to a kind of dance. Now, however, you were just irritated.
‘We were finished!’ you protested when Harry smirked, flicking across another point counter for The Muscle.
‘First rule of fighting?’ asked Harry, shifting so as to lean against the nearest piece of equipment.
You took a calming breath, glad to see that there was even a mild look of irritation on Archie’s face. ‘Underhand tactics are fair game,’ you murmured, not bothering to repeat the words when Harry tapped his ear as if he hadn’t heard you.
‘Let’s try some stationary opponents,’ suggested Archie, shifting away from his space and towards you.
While you may not have asked for The Muscle’s assistance you were glad that they were trying to help you with all of this, even if it were infuriating at times.
A/N: Archie and Harry (The Muscle) are OCs from my Supergirl fanfiction: Sidekicks and Criminals. Archie’s faceclaim is Nonso Anozie and Harry’s is Tom Hopper.
A/N: Gif credit goes to the respective owners; I just found them on Google (added the links here and here).
