Blood Ark, Lunarca ovalis (by me)
Blood Cockle (Anadara granosa)
Also simply known as the "blood clam", the blood cockle is a species of ark clam (Arcidae) which is found throughout the Indo-Pacific region, ranging from the eastern coast of South Africa, north/east to Southeast Asia, Australia, and Japan. A. granosa gets is ominous common name due to the red hemoglobin liquid which resemble blood. Like most bivalves A. granosa is a filter feeder and is common in intertidal mud flats.
