She'd finally taken the risk of going into the town. She couldn't find any suitable hiding places outside of it, so the only option was to go in. She was, at least, able to learn some things from her venturing--mainly after looking on a bulletin board. It was pretty easy to catch her name, and at seeing that she was supposed to be staying in a castle, she immediately began running for her new home. She wasn't questioning who else might live there, or why she was being assigned to live somewhere. All she knew was that castles were huge, and huge places meant more places to hide.
She runs right through the door before beginning her frantic search for a safe place, starting at each room that was open or unlocked. Six rooms are looked into before she discovers an enormous library. Yes, perfect; this is the room she was looking for. If she could climb up, maybe she could hide on one of the bookshelves--
The sound of nearing footsteps causes her to flinch, and all thinking comes to a screeching halt. There was no time to form a plan; she just needed to hide. There was a large chair in here.
Quickly, she runs for it, and pulls herself underneath, quivering and wheezing quietly. No matter how carefully she tried to hide, however, the fact that she'd forgotten to pull in her tail would most likely give her away--regardless of the quiet little noises she was making.
