Thots on Ardaline of the Bravil mages guild?
a sweetie. deserves the world. deserves better than that bastard vamori. i hope he left her alone. and that she keeps her staff under lock and key
i also really like the implied mother-daughter thing with kud-ei, i think that’s adorable. i love kud-ei,,
spur-of-the-moment headcanon is that she opens an alchemy shop in bravil at some point. and helps s’drassa with that potion to cure skooma addiction because i feel like bravil needs that sort of thing
i’m so glad people love ardaline. here’s some more art of her.
“In my mid-twenties I was enamored with a spellsword Dunmer who made a living as a mercenary. Her name was Dinara, and after three years of courtship, I learned she was a two-timing n’wah when I caught her in bed with an Imperial aristocrat. Apparently my existence was a surprise to him as well. I decided I needed some time away from the Imperial City.
I moved to Anvil to get as far away from home as possible. It was hardly a year before I took an interest in the restored Chapel of Dibella on the east side of the city. At first, I entered only to pray to Imperial Divines I grew up worshiping: Mara, Zenithar, and Arkay. One day, I happened to be there during a sermon on the beauty of the spoken word. My interest was piqued.
I was 30 when I was inducted into Dibella’s cult. For the first year, my studies were devoted to grace in communication, the focus of this particular House. Upon reaching the rank of Initiate, one of the priestesses, Ardaline, took me as a student. A fellow Altmer, we connected on a cultural level, and she helped me through an identity crisis stemming from the atrocities committed by the Aldmeri Dominion.
We traveled Cyrodiil for five years as Ardaline educated me in the Dibellan arts. I received lessons in conveying meaning with my words, seeking out beauty in unexpected places, and creating art of my own, among lessons more primal in nature. By the time we returned to Anvil, I had ascended to the rank of Disciple, and was now authorized to provide limited mentorship to lower-ranking students of Dibella. I returned to the Imperial City shortly after.”
