One of the human crew members aboard the Argo Pyxis, Holly has the distinction of also being a wiccan who's goddess granted her alien dino-bird wings. It's a long story. She's not an angel, but definitely gets asked if she is often enough to start most conversations with "and no I'm not an angel." She is another member of the crew who contributes monetarily, in her case by selling homemade artisan soaps on space!etsy. Reed's mother, Jonquil's sister.

Reed O'roarke is the youngest member of the crew of the Argo Pyxis, at only fourteen years old. Holly is his mom, while Jon and Tooey are his uncles. His interests include playing space!MMOs, practicing guitar, and taking care of his two pet ferrets Pepper and Baloo. Reed is trans, he/him pronouns, and in the process of exploring his gender identity.

One of the modern alien characters and the crew of the Argo Pyxis, Toofah (called Tooey by most people) is the spouse of Jonquil O'roarke. They contribute to the crew by helping to earn money to finance the voyage. Specifically, Tooey is a landscape artist who takes photographs of the various planets the team visits, then hosts twice-weekly twitch streams drawing those landscapes and chatting on voice with Jon. (And whoever else on the crew they can talk into it that day.) Tips and subs from the streams and print sales of finished illustrations help keep money in the space bank account.

S'siri; the long deceased boatswain (think a middle manager of sorts) of a space ship that travelled the universe and explored it's wonders thousands of years ago. Though long deceased, her memories are imprinted into the mind of the human woman Holly.

Well meaning and friendly most of the time, but stern and commanding when necessary with a low threshold for BS. Stringently principled, and extremely devoted to the people close to her. Has a fondness for amateur photography.
