It was, perhaps, a bit of a letdown, to hear ‘your servant has not yet arrived’. After all, wasn’t that the main point of the ‘setting’?

Of course, I suppose, that when you ‘meet’ does not matter--

“I guess I have to hope that I don’t run into anyone dangerous until they can summon me a servant, then.”

A sardonic smile graces the speaker’s lips.

“Though that may be too late, since there’s somebody following me already.”

The boy has a teasing tone in his voice, a lilt. He turns around with a smile contrary to his words.

◈»- - - - Somehow or another, 9S would find that in his wandering about the metropolis he would run into a library. Truth to be told, he’s never been to one of these places at all. Ever. Of course, such discovery of a place meant that he would have to explore it immediately. It was the obvious conclusion!

And in he goes. He would be greeted with rows upon rows of books-- it was a magnificent sight to behold. Of course, the android knew what a library was, by concept. He had read data on it before, but this was his first time seeing it in person.

“Wow! This is amazing...!” 9S turns looking around to take everything in. “Humans really read all these books?”

Well, this definitely wasn’t Remnant; even if the handy voice hadn’t filled her in, it wouldn’t have been too hard to tell. She’d put aside the implications of being here for now. A new city, new people, new things to do... and a new partner, apparently.

As if that was ever going to go well.

Still, she should at least try and figure out what this whole deal meant for her before she actually had to do something. Maybe paying more attention would have been a good idea, but asking anyone who stood out would probably be just as effective.
