Ariocarpus bravoanus
Ariocarpus is a relatively small genus of cacti native to northern Mexico and across the border into Texas. They do not have spines, and their stems are composed of hard tubercles that jut out almost like leaves. They are generally fall-flowering, with spectacular blooms that emerge from near the growing point at the center of the plant. This one is Ariocarpus bravoanus, from northern San Luis Potosi.
