God, Callis starting a “thing” with an aelf woman has me worried.

Like, she was raised by a human father whom she adored and him dying (of old age) traumatized her because losing your parents to old age is just not a thing aelves *know*.

And now she starts flirting with a human boy. Like yes, Callis is 30 at most, but that’s like… 50 years tops if they stay together. That’s nothing to her.

I’ve read one Callis and Toll short story but I already like the vibe that they’re only on first name basis when they’re in mortal danger, and then they yell each other’s name dramatically.
