COSPLAY FRIENDS: I just found this app called Dress Measurements that’s super helpful. It lets you create a profile with specialized body measurements you can keep on hand. Reblog to save a life.

I'm actually screaming can someone help me find MK VI halo foam armor patterns?!?
Yo! I was wondering if maybe I could get a few helping tips on how you drew out this patterns for silas' armor? I love all your other cosplays btw
Oh my god,thank you!
First of all I want to say that I will hopefully go over this topic in the future to help people with this armor, but for now I’m just going to give a few tips.
Find plenty of reference images. Its best to be able to use the in game mode viewer in the Accessory Shop.
I created the pieces of the armor by making a front piece and a back piece that I can tape together to form the full piece
To make the pieces you’ll want to:
measure the distance from the side of your upper torso, under one armpit, to the other.
Trace this distance onto your material and then fold this at the half way mark.(Make sure your material is large enough for this!)
Look at the chest piece and draw out the shape of half of it using the fold as the start and end points of this.Make sure the piece looks relatively accurate to your size
once you do this then you can cut it and unfold the paper to reveal a symmetrical piece.
Repeat these steps for the varrying sections of the armor
This isn’t the best explanation as pics of the process would be way more helpful, but this is what I can do for now. Please message me if you need clarity or would highly need images to help with the process until I can create a more thorough “tutorial” of sorts!
I’ll also HIGHLY recommend checking tutorials done by Evil Ted Smith on youtube to help you with creating different pieces as they have for me.
Can someone please link me to very very very dumbed down armor tutorials? I've seen some on cosplay.com but I'm so confused by everything. 😭 I want to work on some armor cosplays in the near future but I'm so scared of messing up since I don't know what to do or where to start.
SO can anyone point me in the proper direction of armor making?
HAHAHA. IF only I was kidding.
Or making things that look like armor but aren't armor.
If anyone sends me the wonderflex way please provide tutorials because yeah. Wonderflex looks like the devil's magic.
so I'd love you every much.
yes?
