Colin really did have such a great redemption arc. He was saved from being the worst type of cop via no longer being able bodied and fucking a robotgirl whose also a dragongirl.

I do like that Mannequin was right about Colin being like him. He may have purposefully been the catalyst, but that doesn't detract from the fact that Colin leans into it. Keeps replacing parts of himself, trimming away anything that doesn't need to be there, minimizing what does need to exist. They are the same thing, at the core of it.
